seopher - I believe that Texstar and his team also customize some of the inconsistent 'loading screens' that you refer to. Slick50 (PCLOS Gnome Project lead) and his team are more than likely working to customize these to their releases 'look' and 'feel'.
Although the functionality of the PCLOS Gnome Edition is relatively mature due to the work of Texstar and team as well as the Gnome community, this particular remaster is still only a couple of early releases old. Slick50 and his team will undoubtedly polish any inconsistencies over time. And anything beyond that will probably be more a matter of taste that can be customized by the users.
